Nicole Nestor-Gray is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 38448) in Private Practice in Hayden, Idaho. She spent 25 years in private practice in Corona, California prior to moving to the State of Idaho in 2018. She has been involved in the Mental Health field since 1989. Nicole earned her BSW in 1989 and then her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1998 through HOPE International University in Fullerton, CA. Nicole is a Clinical Fellow with American Association of Marriage, Family Therapist.
She has worked in both the USA and Canada serving all populations but has specialized in the treatment of trauma since 1996. She has had tremendous success in treating PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and Panic Disorder using EMDR. Nicole was Trained in EMDR in 1997 and utilizes EMDR regularly to help her clients reach their therapeutic goals. She is also an EMDR Certified as well as a EMDR Consultant. Nicole has been acknowledged for her work with First Responders and Military personnel. She founded the First Responder Clinician Support Team for the North Idaho area. She is a trusted therapist with First Responder Wellness Center, Code 4 Northwest, the Red & Blue Foundation, Spoken Outdoors, Amen Clinic and III-A EAP to name a few. She also assists in local crisis debriefings (CISM) for local law enforcement and fire departments. Nicole is well respected for the role she serves in her community.
Nicole was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, and arrived in the United States in 1995 to start working in a residential facility for troubled youth. She has also worked in Foster Care and Adoptions, Crisis centers, suicide hotlines, and Private Practice. She taught Adolescent Development and Psychology as an Adjunct Professor for HOPE International University Fullerton, CA. She is happily married with two beautiful adult children.
